I'm very happy to announce...

Isn't it exciting??? Well, it's exciting to me!!  Last year I was able to attend the first ever Creative Connection Event and it was such a wonderful experience. This year, I will be there speaking, as one of the panelists.

I haven't done public speaking since High School so this should be really scarey fun!!!!
The icing on the cake is the special event that will be happening in the Marketplace. We will be doing a slideshow of many of the fabulous studios that will be showcased in this years Where Blogger's Create event, and I think they have a few other surprises up their sleeves!

And speaking of this years party..... ssshhhhh. I'll be making the announcement VERY SOON!

Sirens and Saints

Right next door to Rust and Roses is her sister store, Sirens and Saints. If you are a fan of cute vintage inspired clothing and accessories this shop will make you giddy!!

It's full of wonderful layering pieces, cute cowgirl hats, boots, adorable tops and...

accessories!!

Cute cuffs, great belts and lots of bling!

That's my friend Sandy up there in the corner. Isn't she pretty???

I loved this outfit. Unfortunately the top didn't fit me the way I would have liked, but the scarf came home with me anyway along with a couple of other super cute things!

I think a monthly visit to this store is definitely on my agenda. After all a girl can never have enough cute clothes right???

Rust and Roses in the Melrose District

One of the best areas of Phoenix to find great shabby, vintage and retro decor is the Melrose district on 7th ave. It runs between Indian School and Camelback and had many wonderful shops.
One of my favorites is Rust and Roses. Shelly definitely has the eye to find fabulous things that I can't help but drool over.

Everything in there invites you in and makes you want to empty your wallet!!

Creamy and dreamy....

Architectural yummieness.... (okay I know that's not a word, but it describes it perfectly)

One of my favorite things!!! Who can resist tin ceiling tiles???

How fun are these?????

Shelly even has an outdoor garden area filled with tons of wrought iron goodies.

They say that one man's woman's junk is another's treasure...
Well I think Rust and Roses is definitely a Treasure Trove!!!!
I hope all you local girls will drive out there for a visit. The entire Melrose area is fabulous and definitely worth taking the day to go exploringRemember, these days we have to visit out local shops or they will be gone!!!

Next time I'll do a feature on Sirens and Saints, The sister store next door!!!
(If you are a fan of vintage inspired clothing you want to miss it!)
