2nd Time Around and White Wednesday- Architectural Salvage

My post for this weeks 2nd Time Around Tuesday and White Wednesday are pics of the way I use architectural salvage in my home. The photo above is a shot of my guest bathroom. The baluster posts are a great way to add a little decorative shelf. I added a small corbel on the shelf just because I thought it was pretty.

The shot below is of my living room. I put candles on the posts when I want to add more mood lighting.

The last photo is from my Master Bathroom. Here, an old shutter was turned into an awesome shelf. I just added a small spring loaded curtain rod to hold the towel.
Thanks for coming over and visiting!

While I have your attention... Can anyone tell me who's blog hosts the 3 or more Thursday?? (I think it's Thursday?) I've looked all over and I can't find it! Thanks so much everyone, See you next time!

Thank you for posting this! I love the inspiration. We are planning to add a patio/pergola sometime in the next year and I want to keep my eyes peeled for architextural salvage to use in the design. We have a great ReStore here, so that will help. It also helps to have ideas so that when I see something, I can see the possibilities and think ahead :)

Hi Karen
I finally got into you page...I don't know whats with my system but I keep getting "internet explorer cannot open this page" and it doesn't seem to matter what computer I am on???
Anyway love the way you use your architectural elemants.
I was fortunate enough to be on HGTV a few years ago and they did a couple episodes from my home. One episode featured old architecture in my home. It was when Country Living had their show. Good to see what you've been up to...love your stuff. Have been working in my studio getting ready for the studio tour. The 25th right?
Blessings

Ohhhhhhhh Karen, I wish you could come to my home and help me out, I really need to spruce things up around here, just don't have the energy to do it all myself and I just LOVE everything you have shown us here, especially the guest bathroom because mine needs something special like that, it's rather boring at the moment.

Lol...Ha, I just came in from the studio to eat dinner -- it is 8:30. I am cleaning!!! This is my 2nd day of it and I will have another tomorrow and I owe this all to you my blogger friend :) I have been procrastinating for too long obviously...the trouble started when I set up my studio at the shop and just went through stuff and tore everything apart every time I needed something. Anyway I will turn off the comment thingy and I am looking forward to the tour...
ps...also an added bonus when I was cleaning tonight I found a box of neat goodies I ordered from France that had never been opened...200 bucks from 10 of '07...it was before I opened the shop and had money!
Take Care
Blessings
Rebecca
Oh and I couldn't get on again so I went through foxfire and it worked like a charm, Thank you.
