My first class!!!

I know it's a tad bit early to be thinking about Christmas... but then again... it's NEVER to early to think about Christmas!! I am so excited (and a little nervous) to announce my first ever official art class! I will be having it in my home on Saturday, December 4th. It will be an all day class and participants will go home with a completed Snowman/Girl at the end of the day. You will be able to customize your piece however you want because I will have lots of goodies to play with.
The fee for this class will be $80.00 and will include everything you need, although there are a few tools I would love for you to  bring along if you have them.
I am really hoping that many of the Arizona gals who have blogs or just enjoy reading them, will sign up so we can all meet and have a fun play day!!! I'm also hoping some of my Texas BBF's will be able to come and play too!!! (hint, hint)
If you are interested, please send me an email and I will tell you more about it.

I hope you can come and play!!!

Pumpkin Tutorial Revisited

Last year I posted a tutorial about how to make these pumpkins. Since it's that time again I thought I would share it once again since I'm sure many of my new friends have not seen it. If you want to read how to make these easy fabric pumpkins just click here! I would LOVE it if you would send me pics if you make any, or put the picks up on your blog and send me the link!  Have fun!!!

A new blogger and a fabulous Giveaway!

I would like to introduce you all to a wonderful new blogger and I am happy to say, my wonderful new friend. Her name is Cindy and her Blog is Lilly's Lace. One of the things that makes her blog so special is her wit, and the wonderful silly poems that accompany the vintage wedding photos that she graciously shares with all of us.

Well, Cindy is having her first ever giveaway in honor of Pink October. It is a GORGEOUS belt buckle(and some other goodies) that she made herself and is chock full of vintage bling! I hope you will all go over and visit Cindy and enter her giveaway. She is a doll and I think you will love her too!!!

Cooler temps bring thoughts of Fall!

Country Living
We've  been having some pretty awesome storms the past day or two and with them comes cooler temps. It's a lot easier to think about Autumn when its only 75-80 and not 95-100!!!
I've been going through all my old seasonal issues of my favorite magazines and pulling out some great Fall decorating ideas to share. I think you are going to love these!

Cottage Living
This is one of my favorites. If you aren't a spooky Halloween lover and you prefer the white pumpkins I bet this idea is right up your ally! They used upholstery tacks!!

This is a nice alternative to carving a pumpkin.

I loved this idea for the candles. It is sooo simple. I made my own version that I will show you in another post. I hope you are having a great week. BTW... I was inspired to break out the Halloween blog design a little early.. what do you think???

A little gift of love

I was recently reminded that October is Breast Cancer awareness month when Donna from Donna’s Designs commissioned me to make her a pink ribbon button to celebrate another year of being cancer free. She got me thinking about all the amazing women that I have known who have been affected by breast cancer in one way or another. I wanted to do something special in honor of them, to help spread the word that monthly checks really do save lives. So I made this button....

My hope is that all the women in Blogland will put it on their blogs for the month of October to show our support of each other and help remind us all to take a few minutes every month and do a breast check. Remind your sisters, daughters and mothers, remind your best friends. You really could be saving their lives. So please copy the code under the button on my right sidebar, place it in an html gadget and help spread the word!!!!

I am linking up with Beverly of How Sweet the Sound  for this weeks Pink Saturday. I mean what could be more appropriate???  Thank you Beverly for helping me get the word out, and thank you to all of you in advance for putting the button on your blog! Have a great weekend!
