Sweet Salvage-Summer Lovin'

This weekend's theme at Sweet Salvage is Summer Lovin' and there was definitely an abundance of summer themes vignettes every where I looked!

I really liked this glider. It makes me think of sitting on the porch with a glass of lemonade, just enjoying the lovely summer breezes.... of course that never happens here in Phoenix! Its 110 degrees outside for gosh sake!! LOL!

This wicker tray was lovely too. I think someone needs to bring me breakfast in bed!! (hint, hint to my hubby!!)

Lots of nautical influences in this months event. I loved the size and shape of these fat sand dollars!!

Many of us here in Arizona wish we had a beach house to escape from the summer heat. Maybe if we decorate our homes up with a beach theme it will trick our brains into thinking we are there!

There are some great architectural elements there this time. And the prices were excellent. I think this fabulous piece was only $85.00 and there were 3 of them. Before we put in the new light fixture in our kitchen, I had something like this hanging over my kitchen counter.

Beach stuff is just fun if you are an Arizona native like me. It makes me want to go on vacation!!

Why do I look spools of yard and string so much??? They just look cool!

I thought this was the coolest vase. There was a lot of work involved wrapping all that wire around those glass bottles. It was only $8.00, which I thought was a great price and so....

It came home with me!! I love it there in front of my sink and get to enjoy the blooms every time I stand there to do dishes.

There are also a lot of patriotic and British themed vignettes at Sweet Salvage this month, but they were all very heavy with Red, White and Blue. Now while I am a VERY patriotic gal... those colors just don't do it for me, although the vignettes were wonderful and definitely put me in the mood for 4th of July barbeques!

I hope you will get the chance to go visit this month! I'm sure they would love to see you!

Hey Karen, how ya doin? It looks like a great show this month. If you like the looks of white string you gotta stop by my blog and see what I brought home from my moms.

Hugs,

Thanks for sharing. I have yet to visit this venue and probably with the heat won't until winter.

Wonderful treasures Karen! Love the vase you bought; how awesome!

And oh how I wish I lived nearby; I love British themed goodies - although perhaps it's best I stay in the cool North. I fear I would melt in that heat!

Really Love the pictures. Would love to visit there. The Vases are lovely and a rather clever Idea to wrap them in Wire.

Oh, I just want reach into my computer screen and grab those chippy wood pieces! I sure hope I can make this event this weekend.

I'm so happy we have a pool now. Floating around in it soothes me and other than that, being in my studio is how I escape this heat.

I saw so many things I would take home, but living in coastal California doesn't make me want to visit Arizona in the summer.

The bottles you bought are great. I saw a little miniature milk bottle holder with 3 little bottles -very coastal in blue, green and clear - at a shop for $21.95. I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it. Now I see your great bottles - handmade - and only $8. Makes me want to get out to my creative space NOW.
