Sweet Salvage-Summer Lovin'

This weekend's theme at Sweet Salvage is Summer Lovin' and there was definitely an abundance of summer themes vignettes every where I looked!

I really liked this glider. It makes me think of sitting on the porch with a glass of lemonade, just enjoying the lovely summer breezes.... of course that never happens here in Phoenix! Its 110 degrees outside for gosh sake!! LOL!

This wicker tray was lovely too. I think someone needs to bring me breakfast in bed!! (hint, hint to my hubby!!)

Lots of nautical influences in this months event. I loved the size and shape of these fat sand dollars!!

Many of us here in Arizona wish we had a beach house to escape from the summer heat. Maybe if we decorate our homes up with a beach theme it will trick our brains into thinking we are there!

There are some great architectural elements there this time. And the prices were excellent. I think this fabulous piece was only $85.00 and there were 3 of them. Before we put in the new light fixture in our kitchen, I had something like this hanging over my kitchen counter.

Beach stuff is just fun if you are an Arizona native like me. It makes me want to go on vacation!!

Why do I look spools of yard and string so much??? They just look cool!

I thought this was the coolest vase. There was a lot of work involved wrapping all that wire around those glass bottles. It was only $8.00, which I thought was a great price and so....

It came home with me!! I love it there in front of my sink and get to enjoy the blooms every time I stand there to do dishes.

There are also a lot of patriotic and British themed vignettes at Sweet Salvage this month, but they were all very heavy with Red, White and Blue. Now while I am a VERY patriotic gal... those colors just don't do it for me, although the vignettes were wonderful and definitely put me in the mood for 4th of July barbeques!

I hope you will get the chance to go visit this month! I'm sure they would love to see you!

Door Pocket Organizer

Sign ups are continuing to come in for this years Where Bloggers Create party!! Yeah! It's going to be so much fun!!  I thought I would give you all a sneak peak of one of the changes to my studio this year.  I decided to add just a little bit more color to the room.

I made a new door pocket organizer for myself. It's a lot more girly and has a lot more detail than the one I had there before. (If you want to see it click here) But I still used that wonderful smooth burlap fabric, cause I just love it!!!

Each pocket has a doily and a little bit of lace trim.

I cut the doilies in half so, each one did two pockets.

I love seeing all the paper goodies sticking out from the top of each pocket. Some of the things I use, and some I just like to look at! (I know some of you can relate! LOL)

I'm looking forward to sharing the rest of the changes to my studio with you (although they are small)
in a few weeks. If you are participating in the party,  please don't forget to put the button on your sidebar so others can join in too!!!

Are you ready to be inspired... again?? Where Bloggers Create 2013 is July 12th!

"To view my Where Bloggers Create post click here.
To view the 2013 list of Participants scroll down... it's on the sidebar. :)"

Yes, it's that time of year again!! The inspiration will be overflowing as we all get together to enjoy  Where Bloggers Create 2013!  The date this year will be July 12th so you all have about 6 weeks to  fluff up your spaces and get them camera ready... or leave them be and let us peak into what a real working studio looks like!

Last year we saw such a wonderful variety of studios from ladies all over the world. We had scrapbookers and fiber artists,  jewelry designers and painters,  mixed media artists and paper crafters.
We saw as many different kinds of artists and crafters as you can imagine and the amazing studio spaces that they create in.

I look forward to this event every year. Friends are made, ideas are garnered, and we are all inspired!!!  Every year I am blown away by your creativity, ingenuity and passion for what you do.

I hope you all will join me again this year regardless of whether your studio has changed much since last year or not. Remember, it has been a year since we last visited your space so it will seem brand new once again!! If you have never participated, I encourage you to join in on the fun. We want to see where you create the lovely works of art that make your heart sing!!

So, once again this is how it will work. If you want to participate leave me a comment on this post, or send me an email.  If you have more than one blog, please specify which one you want me to link to. I will add your name to the list of participants on my sidebar. On the night before the party(July 11th), post your photos and stories about your studio, yourselves and your art. (This assures that the early risers or those bloggers in other parts of the world can see your post on time.) We all love lots of pictures so don’t be shy!!!! On the day of the party we will all meet here and you can spend the next few weeks blog hopping to visit everyone’s blogs and get a peak inside all the very wonderful and creative studios!! If don't already follow my blog, please consider doing so, so you don't miss out on any important party announcements.

If you want to visit last years attendees, click here for the entire list. It will be available until this years party starts, and I begin linking the new posts.

(I have quite a lot on my plate again this year, so I will not be sending out confirmation emails. Please give me a few days to get your link placed on my blog. Then check back and make sure it's there. If it's missing please send me an email to let me know. Last year I had several folks who didn't leave me a way to get a hold of them, so please make sure your contact info is available. Sign ups will end July 11th.)

Oh! And please take the party invitation located on the upper right sidebar and place it on your blog to help spread the word. If you want to do a post about it... that would be wonderful!!! This party is a success because of all of you, and your willingness to help me spread the word about it. :) I would also love it if you would pin the image of the party poster located in this post. You all know how great Pinterest is and it would be wonderful to get lots of new studios this year. After all, the more participants, the more inspiration!!!!!
