Have they started cloning humans yet???

No, really... have they?? Cause I neeeed one! Seriously though..... You may have noticed my lack of blog posts lately. I know, I know. My News Years resolution was to do more frequent posts. Well, any one who's made one of those pesky resolution things knows how hard those are to keep!!!
I have been a very, very busy lady. And something was bound to fall by the wayside. Unfortunately it turned out to be my much beloved blog.

Fortunately my lack of time is caused by something I love to do. Junking, painting, creating and decorating!
My space at The Tattered Nest is still going strong and I love filling it with vintage goodies and items I both find and create. Here are a few more pics of my just redone space there at the Nest!

So, finding and cleaning and painting and making all takes up alot of my time!
So what did I do???

I decided I needed to do a second location, and am now participating in a monthly vintage market in Chandler called Highland Yard Vintage!
(Seriously, what was I thinking?? LOL!)

But truthfully, I am having the time of my life. Being a vendor/designer at two places in the valley is the hardest work I have ever done, but also the most fun!!

The space at Highland Yard is much smaller that my space at the Nest so it makes it a little more managable, but I trully am working 7 days a week to try and keep up.

And that brings me to another little thing...
After much contemplation and arguments with myself I have decided to take a short hiatus from the Where Bloggers Create party this year. (Many of you have probably already figured that out since it's mid July and there has been no party announcement.)  I just dont think I can take on another thing right now. I dont want to let anyone down by not being able to give my all to everything I do.

Thank you all for understanding and sticking with me through these few and far between posts. As always, I will try to be better, but now you know the reason I have been away!

Take care my friends!!! Hopefully I will see you soon! :)

Oh what fun! I'd love to do something like that! I am having to back off blogging too as I'm up to my ears in wedding stuff for darling daughter, plus trying to keep up with two homes, one of which we will be selling soon. So I understand! Love your booth. Would love to browse in that pretty spot!

Hi Karen,

I'm so glad I got to participate in your Where Bloggers Create last year! I have been sadly unable to keep up with my blog much this year due to illness and 'life' happenings. Your spaces look gorgeous, and it takes so much time and effort to do 'real stuff', as well as document and write about it, so I totally understand what you're saying :) Wish I could check out your markets and spaces in person, they are such an inspiration!
I wish you all the best with your new ventures,

Jesse XX

No apologies necessary. I am so happy for you that you are doing what you love! Your space(s) look lovely. That Hoover cabinet looks like an amazing piece. Makes me wish I were closer, but thankful I'm not as I would probably end up in the poor house 😋 In the mean time, enjoying the posts you share with us. Have a blessed evening.

Beautiful arrangements!

I think a lot of people, including me, are posting less these days.

Living in the UK means that I don't get to see your work 'live' so to speak, so I do enjoy reading your blog to see what you've been making. But I also understand why you've not been able to blog as much as usual too! I, too, have had similar 'there's only one of me' not enough time problems, though mine is majorly caused by my chronic fatigue, taking time off from my blog.
I've been an avid participant in 'Where bloggers create' for the past three years and 'met' lots of fellow creative thanks to the party, but I was quite relieved when I realised that you'd not mentioned it on your blog! In order to take decent photos of my workroom I have to have a massive tidy up and I just haven't had the time/energy to do this!

What I am going to do though, is go back through previous year's links and look at some of them that I missed. Having a good nosy around people's workspaces is the fun part of the process anyway!

Congratulations on your new selling space💗

While I would love to visit both of your fabulous locations, you know how much I dislike the heat. I'm hoping to visit in December before Christmas. I'd love to come to the Highland Vintage Market, to take photos and maybe buy me a Christmas gift. I love those crosses in your booth. Are they held on a regular monthly weekend like Sweets? If so, I can add it to my December schedule. Love everything you do, always. I'm still loving our summer rains while they last. Pretty soon, I'll need someone to come over and dig up a few things while the ground is so wet and soaked. Take care of you, Marrianna 👍

You are certainly a busy lady! I really enjoy your blog posts, no matter how far apart they come. Your photos are making me want to get back to my creative side, which has been on a very long hiatus. I always find inspiration here!

Love the winged cross above the dresser! You do things with such beauty. Love it and you do not have to post a lot. Keep the quality and do not worry about quantity.

Do I ever wish I had room to shop in your booths. I've been so busy starting my new website and taking care of our sick dog, I've missed so many events. I promise, Karen, I will make it to Highland Yard and the Nest soon.

I was wondering about your Where Bloggers Create Party and figured you were just stretched thin this summer. My studio changes every month! I keep moving things around!

Hope to catch up with you soon!!
