Hello! Welcome to my first of hopefully many contributions to 2nd Time Around Tuesday, hosted by Diane @ A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words. I should have a pretty easy time with this since 75% of my home came from second hand stores, garage sales, and an occasional antique shop. Since Two seems to be a theme I will share two different finds...
The first is a pair of these Adirondack chairs. I got them at a garage sale last year for only $5.00 each!!! I think they are one of my best finds. The wood was rough and cracking and they were pretty rickety. My DH and I spent a couple weekends taking them completely apart, sanding, painting and putting them back together.
And here is the final result!! I love my chairs!!!!
The color in the photo below is more accurate than the one up above.
My second thing to share is my collection of watering cans. I actually have several more that I'm not showing, but I didn't want to bore you with to much of a good thing. This one is in my kitchen.
The rest are all out on my porch and patio. I've collected them from garage sales and antique stores from a couple different states. I keep looking for more. The price has to be right though. They can get pretty expensive, but I won't spend more than $20.00 on one.

What a FABULOUS job you and hubby did with those chairs! Just the idea that you even FOUND these for five bucks apiece is awesome.
Love your watering cans, too.

Good Morning Miz Karen,
I love your chairs! What a great color you painted them. My dh and me were just looking at the plastic ones from Lowe's for $17 each, maybe I should just hold out awhile longer... I might get lucky like you and find real ones.
And I love how you've displayed your watering cans all around outside. Very interesting and very cool looking. Now I'm off to check out your earlier posts *smiles*
Welcome to this event. You are going to fit right in! What a great find on the chair and love the watering cans. I have seen some really cool ones and yes, they can get pretty expensive.
Thanks for sharin'
Candy
First I have to say that you have a lovely blog. And I love your font! (mine is so boring and I have no clue how to change it up to something like yours) I love both of your treasures!!! You got a great deal on the chairs, at an unbelieveable price! I love how they turned out. I am a fan of anything that is weathered galvenize. Your water can is perfect! I hope to see your treasures next week.
Sorry, it is me again! I just became a follower...check out what I use for my picture ;-)
Hi Karen! Your adirondack chairs are so fabulous. What a steal and hubby did an amazing job on them!! Love all your watering cans too. Happy 2nd time around...
Dear Friend,
I'm smiling to learn more about you! Ching Ching on your finds. I can't wait to see more. Lets swap junk..haha
LOVE the color of the Adirondack chairs -- and love the idea of Adirondack chairs in the desert, so far from their "native habitat."
Your watering cans are beautiful -- I love the strong lines and simplicity of such "everyday" things; and SO much prettier than plastic!
Lovely post! Cass
Welcome to 2nd Time Around Tuesday! Those watering cans are awesome! Can't wait to see more from you.
Love the adirondack chairs especially the colour you painted them! They were a fabulous garage sale find! I collect old galvanized watering cans too :-) Maybe they will be my 2nd time around post next Tuesday :-)

I cannot believe you paid only that much for those darling Adirondack chairs! I want some so bad. I don't like the way the newer ones are made, the style, so I'd love to find some. I love your finds. You seem to have much my taste in things! I'll be back!
