God Blessed Texas

I'm back from the beautiful state of Texas!!! With it's miles of fences...

and fields of the most amazing wildflowers ever!!! I lived in Texas for 3 years when I was a child and my most vivid memory was all the Bluebonnets!!!

I was so happy to discover they were all in full bloom when I arrived!

Other highlights were the Indian paintbrush...

and of course, the Longhorns!!!!

then of course... THE SHOPPING!!!!!
These jewelry pieces were done by Paris Montana. I had no idea she was a local girl. I'm pretty excited to discover she is opening a shop right here in old town Scottsdale!!
There were cool things to look at everywhere! From beautiful handmade items....

to great additions for the home...

To tables full of yummy rhinestones and vintage jewelry.

I was on a mission to bring home as much rhinestone ans vintage jewelry findings as I could afford.
(I think I accomplished my goal), but you'll have to wait for another post to see my goodies.  :)

All that shopping was really hard work!!! (Don't you feel sorry for me.) So I took a load off on the coolest vintage bath tub lounge chair!!  To bad the beer was only a prop!!! LOL!

But my absolutely favorite thing, was meeting and hanging out with some of the sweetest gals I've ever met. What a joy they were to hang out with! This is all of us at the Blog Party, minus dear Karen from Some Days are Diamonds, who was feeling under the weather.  :(
We have miss Sandy Navarro of SMN Designs,  Charlene of My Hearts Ease, Susie Hibdon of Vintage Susie and Wings, (Me), Joy Campell from The Joys of Life
Rita (no blog yet), Cindy Craine from Lillys Lace, Riki Schumacher of Riki Jewelry and Diane Cook of Rosa and Josie's.

Next time, I'll show you some of my favorite idea's and inspirations!!

Loved all the pics, especially the group. Love putting names/faces/blogs together. On a retirement budget I love to look but most is out of my range, but oh to have been able to capture those wildflowers thru my camera lens. Simply beautiful.

God did Bless Texas!!!!!!!!! So glad you had fun!!! I had a blast having you here. Every minute was GREAT!!!! I slept in your bed last night because Daddy Darling & Elle were wiggle butts in ours. I thought of you & missed you when I went in there. I saw a photo (from Cindy) of your completed necklace. It changed design from your original thoughts but, you did your teacher proud. HUGS!

Hi---or should I say Howdy?
I just discovered your blog. I have just been blogging for about a month now...so still pretty much a newbie. I am a Southern Gal living in Washington State now. But----lived in Houston for 18 years. Both my sons were born there. I am actually heading back for a visit next week. I just wanted to say that you have a lovely blog and---that I recognized the Roundtop Antique Show before I scrolled down to your previous posting and saw that is where it was. Have been to the Roundtop show a couple of times many years ago. Just wanted to say hello. Enjoying your blog. Have a fabulous day! xoxo Kim

I loved traveling and shopping in Texas with you and I ESPECIALLY loved the photo of all you great girls. What a ball you must've had.

I found you via one of my newest followers. So happy I did too. I'll try to keep up with you in the future, and I'll peruse a bit of the past.

Aren't those bluebonnets scrumptious?

Wow! Thank you for the pictures - aren't the Texas wildflowers beautiful? What a bunch of neat stuff, I'm glad you had a good time. I've stayed a while in Fredericksburg, my grandmother was from Llano and her mother was from Round Top - so it's only fitting that I go, right? Keep the pictures coming!
