My First Ad

Can someone please tell me how almost 3 weeks have gone by since my last post???
I swear they speed up the clocks after 40!!! The holidays were so full of things to do and people to see I don't know how we get it all done!  But now, thankfully most of the Christmas is packed away and it's time for a fresh start to what I believe is going to be a wonderful year!

I'm starting off this new year doing something I never thought I would be doing... placing an add in a National magazine!!! But, I took the plunge and the first of two hit the newsstands at the beginning of the month!!

It's not a big ad, but it is nevertheless really fun to see in print, and in one of my favorite magazines to boot! I'm hoping it will bring some new clients that may have not found me other wise. We have to experiment and try new things in life right? You won't know if something works until you try it!!!

I was also so surprised when I opened up the first few pages of the magazine and saw my girls Kim and Katie from Sweet Salvage! They are both so sweet and really deserve the exposure! WooHoo! I love it when good things happen to good people!!

I hope you all had a wonderful start to the new year! I just know it's going to be great!!

Wonderful news! Congrats to you. I hope this brings the business. Yes, the holidays have me derailed too. My blog posts have been mostly about family and the holidays. My studio was taken over by the Xmas tree. I'm very slowly getting things back to normal! Let's hope we both find some creative time this month.

How exciting! Congrats on your first national magazine ad! I hope that it brings you MUCH success! We share that common "first" this year! I just signed a 12-month contract with Romantic Homes and will also be advertising in the Flea Market Decor edition that they release Feb. 14th. I am SO nervous about wasting money on it haha! BUT like you said...you never know until you try and I think 2012 should be the year for chasing dreams and taking chances! I have a TON of work to do to my website before it hits the stands! I'll check out YOUR ad next time I'm in the bookstore - I always buy that magazine anyway- I love it! Happy New Year and best of luck to you!!!

Oh My Stars, Karen! I don't even know HOW to say ALL I want to say in this comment,,,,,,,,,but first off? Thank YOU!

I truly need to "go back" and see who was in my blog circle when I first started to Blog......I KNOW YOU were there,,,,,,faithfully, steadfast, and I remember when you were unemployed and the whole "blog design" thing took hold.....And you helped Moi, create/layout her blog. (Why I suddenly starting talking in the 3rd person, I don't know! LOL)

Well Girlfriend,,,,I don't know if you've seen it yet, but I'm a featured Blog in the Spring Quarterly of ROMANTIC COUNTRY MAGAZINE! Page 22,,,of "The BEST of Online RESOURSES"........So Thank you, for your help in designing my blog a couple of years ago. Your layout/Icons/ and insights to getting me looking more professional were a HUGE Contribution, I'm sure, to my getting published!

Take a Bow Karen, and BIG HUGS!
(You can use me for a blog design testimony ANY time!)

Love you!
