I know I haven't been around very much this Summer. I suppose to many things are distracting me, or maybe I just needed to take a bit of of a break. That being said, I am working on a few things to share with you, so I won't be away as much from now on. :)
I did however want to share with you a sweet gesture from my sweetie. When we first re-did our kitchen, we put a chalk board into one of cabinets. I jokingly told my husband it was so he could write love notes on it. That was almost a year ago, and never did there appear a sweet sonnet or poem. (Seriously... I did not expect there to be.) It was always full with a shopping list until recently. We added a larger chalkboard to the Laundry Room/Pantry, so the need for the smaller one in the kitchen went away, and has been blank for a few months. Until now. Want to see what I found in the kitchen over the weekend????
Isn't my hubby the sweetest, most romantic guy you know??? LOL!!!!!
Now I'm not saying he's not romantic... he just has a weird sense of humor sometimes!!!

That's a sweet surprise and funny!!!
Im Finnish and the Finns are known for being very hard to show any romantic emotions and this reminds me of a joke.
An elderly Finn couple are listening to the radio, he in his chair reading while his wife is knitting in her chair. The voice in the radio is talking about how in America people like to say "I love you" a lot, so the wife then asks her husband "Otto, why don't you ever say you love me?" and without even looking up from his paper Otto replies "I did tell you the day we got married,if it changes I let you know".
Hi Karen,
Awww... he is very sweet indeed! Summer can definitely keep us busy and enjoying more activities away from blogging. It's a very good thing! Hope you're having a great day.
Holly
I think his "note" is wonderfully charming, funny AND romantic!!!
ALSO: I can't wait to see what new things you have created/what you'll soon be sharing with us. I was on Pinterest (well, I LIVE on Pinterest...it's one of the only things I can do WHILE homeschooling that doesn't require much effort so I can still answer the kids' questions while concurrently Pinning) and came across your Christmas stuff. I'd already seen it, of course, and loved it, but then loved it all over again on Pinterest!
Love/hugs/blessings,
Lana
