My latest find...

I just received the vintage bobbins I ordered from Faded Plains. I LOVE them!! After wrapping my lace yardage around them I added the bobbins to a glass vase that I got at a garage sale this weekend for $1.00. They arrived in such a pretty package with sweet little extras. I liked the tag that came with them so much I tied it on one of the bobbins. I just finished ordering two more sets of three... so if you want some you better get over there FAST!!!!

BTW... I'm leaving on a 2 week vacation on Saturday morning. I'm still getting asked to leave up the links from the party, so I will leave them up until I get back back. That should give everyone plenty of time to enjoy!

I think we forget how lovely something so simple can be. How many of us have a plain, glass vase or jar that can be used in such an effective way? Thanks for the inspiration Karen!

Karen, thank you for leaving up the links for the Party of the Century!!!! I have had such a mess at my house with painters in all week that I have not had a chance to look at all of them. I leave for a funeral tomorrow so I will have lots of computer time at the hotel. Have fun onyour trip!

I have been seeing these bobbins quite a bit lately. At least in the last 12 months or so. It makes me wonder if they originated from one source. I attended a sewing convention last March and one of the vendors had dozens of them. I purchased 12 of them myself. They are beautiful. They have a lovely patina. Yours are beautifully displayed. Thanks for the motivation to finally display mine.

Hi Karen,
Great vintage bobbins, I have one in my office from years ago. I love the way you've wrapped them in all the vintage lace. Andrea's shop is one of my favorites, I want to bring at least one of everything she has to my home.

Have a great vacation... going to find some great architectural items?

I still have people to visit from the party..it has been so much fun meeting and seeing such lovely spaces. I will be so glad to get my studio finished.

You have a great time on your vacation. Thanks for leaving the link list up for a while longer.
