Blogging has become a very large part of my life. I am thinking about this blog and my blog friends, and new posts, and swaps, and the Where Bloggers Create party coming up this summer all the time!
I really needed something to help organize all of my thoughts and ideas in one place. So I made my Blog Book. It's just a 3 ring binder that I slipcovered! I have sections for post ideas, great blogs and websites, the WBC party and several others. I used scrap fabrics that I had laying around and used Lisa's idea to print images on printable fabric sheets. It's really easy to make and if you don't sew you can (almost) fuse everything together using iron on hem tape. Just hand sew the top and bottom of the pocket where the book slips into. You can do this while the notebook is in place. I even sewed a small pocket for a pen that runs along the spine. I love having everything together in one place. Organization is creativity's friend!!!!
And, since I will probably carry this with me wherever I go, I added a little pocket to hold calling cards with my blog address on them!

Wow, what a great idea. My 2010 academic year starts shortly (in Australia) and I'm SOOO bored with my plain old ringbinders - now you've got me thinking about slip-covering them! :)
That is such a great idea!!! Looks purdy!
Love it, it is really beautiful and what a wonderful idea. Love to visit your blog, you always have such great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful idea! I love the look and I especially got a laugh when I re-read the title! I tend to be the eccentric artist always looking for my glasses - and when I scratch my head in frustration....I find them! But I will endeavor to become more organized...
Thank you for sharing!
Sandy
What a wonderful idea! Your book is sooooo pretty!
What a lovely way to remember things.....I really need a daily planner myself and yours is so great! I have the fusable tape but have not tried it yet.
Organization is the key to creativity....I am so disorganized right now that I have NO time to create. I am getting there though :)
Sooo very pretty!
And what a lovely brain you have there...that is so cute....
Have a Blessed day...
Sweet Blessings...

Karen, this is so pretty. I have a blog notebook...it is a mess! I tried to make sense of things, but alas...it is a sad affair! I really love your idea and the pen attached is brillant!
Fabulous Karen,
This is an excellent idea and so beautiful to look at, I think I just might have to 'borrow' this idea from you, then maybe, just maybe some of your creativity might rub off on me!!
Happy Tuesday!! xOxO Nerina
My Blogger Book has been on the back burner for too long, now you have gone and done it again. Given me the motivation to start it and finish. Very nice, very neat. You're the friend I need! Just like you did with My Creative Space last summer. Thank you again dear lady. We need to go out for coffee sometime. Don't know about you, but I love this weather. Guess cuz I'm a Wisconsin girl livin' in the southwest. It'll be nice soon and we can enjoy our desert spring!

ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so very clever! Lisa is a wiz at that image transfer stuff & it looks like you have the hang too. I have a 3 ring binder but, had not covered it. YOURS is much prettier. I need to win some of these giveaways where everyone has yummy lace & buttons to add to something like this. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY SWEET FRIEND.
Lovely! I think I will have to copy you! Clever girl! :)

Such a pretty way to stay organized. I so need that in my life. Loved all the beautiful items you shared in your previous post. You certainly were one lucky gal that day. Blessings, Tammy
Can you believe it. I began a Blog Journal at the beginning of the year also.
So many subjects for posting, ideas for blog presentation, etc. Needed on place for all.
The journal has been convenient and we're just into February.
You've created a beautiful journal, Karen.
Hugs,
Gerry
So great idea and beautiful piece!!

Love the idea...I have a few 'random' spiral note books always strung around where I start thoughts and do not finish them. I think having a cute notebook like this would also prompt me to use it more to record my 'random' thoughts...kinda like drinking water out of a cute glass ~ for some reason I can get closer to the '8 a day' if I am pouring it into a cute glass! Have a wonderful day~ deb
It's really beautiful, Karen! And I like the concept of it. :) Great job. :) Theresa

Hello,
Magic Moonlight Studion kindly pointed me in your direction,(thank you MMS), and I have begun looking through your delightful posts. So far I've got as far as your gorgeous Blog Book folder. It is such a great idea and sooooo pretty. I love the gorgeous fabric tag style embelishment. I will have to see if I can find someting, here in France, so I'll be able to print onto fabric too.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts right after I've finished this little note.
