Spring in the Desert

My dear friend Charlene gave me some very good advice yesterday. She said "Girl, come up for air!!!" So I decided to take a little time out from working (If you can call it that. I'm having to much fun for it to be called work) and share some pics I shot yesterday of my family out in the back yard. This is the love of my life... and my husband. (Just kidding!!!) I mean the love of my life and my dog Rocky.

And here he is with my sweet baby girl Jasmine. She was very interested in the tiny beep that the camera made while focusing. I was pretty far away and she heard every beep. (Those ears are pretty powerful)

I didn't have the shutter speed quite fast enough for this shot but I like it anyway.

I love the expression on Rocky's face. He's keeping his eye on Jasmine because she is notorious for stealing his sticks.

This morning I decided to go for a walk and shoot just a few of the homes with wildflowers in their yards. In the Spring these wildflowers are EVERYWHERE! Some homes have the entire front yard covered with them.

Well that's it. I'm sure things will slow down a bit soon and I will be back visiting everyone with vigor!! Thank you all for kind words of support for the biz and for those of you who did posts about my new design biz... well, I cannot thank you enough!!! Have a wonderful day!

Aren't they too cute? The dogs ~ I mean. Your hubby is a handsome guy. How nice he was to pose for you, but it looks like he was enjoying being outside with you. I'm enjoying seeing the crocuses and daffodils coming up in our area.

Sweet puppies! :) Just makes me want to {hug} them. I just love spring in AZ. It is our best season on my opinion!

You asked about scrapblog. Yes, Ma'am! That is my tool of choice. It is so simple that even a computer idiot like me can figure it out. Thanks about my header. I consider that high praise coming from an expert like you! :) I'm finally pretty happy with this one so I will probably stick with this for a while. I really didn't care for the last one to much.

Glad to hear that you are busy! That is awesome!!!!
Happy Easter!

Hi Karen~~~

Rocky and Jasmine are the sweetest little furballs!! And you are right, I noticed the cute face on Rocky in the last picture right away!!

The wildflowers are so pretty and I saw some awesome cactus as well. We have lots of shoots but no real flowers yet here in the upper Midwest. Soon though!

Good luck with your business. I was at Ticking And Toile the other day and fell in love with her blog design. You are good!! ;-)

Karen those pics are wonderful! Your pooches are just adorable (and Hubby ain't bad either) LOL. I love the pics of the wildflowers. Seems like sense we have moved to Scottsdale more people have them in their yards. Someday I will have to plant some and enjoy them.

Soooooooooooooo good to see my friend "up for air". Sweet family photos. That look on Rocky's face was great! And Jasmine was playing the innocent. Those flowers are so beautiful. That yellow so bright. Couldn't help but make a gril smile! Congrats on the business. I KNEW you would do great. I'm so PROUD of you! Isn't it funny how when one door closes... there apears an OPEN window? And thanks for the sweet mention. And glad you took the advice. HUGS! Charlene

Very cute photos of your hubby and puppies! It is amazing looking at your neighborhood pictures of how different it looks from where I live. Cactus, and the wildflowers all look so pretty but different from our magnolias blooming and daffodils. We all experience so many different climates....all very beautiful, depending on where we live! Thanks for sharing!~Patti

Karen,
Yes, Charlene gives good advice! Your pups are just too darn cute! The hub looks pretty cute too! The wildflowers beautiful. I can't wait for the Texas bluebonnets to come out. Then I can humiliate my family by making them sit on the side of the road while I take their pic! Thanks for your continued help, you've made my blog look so much better! Have a good day friend. You went on a walk and didn't call me??? It is a good thing though that you and camera went alone-you had to replenish. Karen-does this mean I can stop calling you every day to remind you what day it is? Did you brush your teeth? love you d

Karen, those are beautiful pictures!!! And I would agree, time to come up for air - your designs are beautiful and professional, but everyone needs some down time to rejuvenate! Enjoy yourself - will be waiting for your return.
