Lot's of exciting things going on around here!

I'm so excited to announce that I'm going to be flying to Texas to teach a class at this Spring's Paper Cowgirl event in March. I have been wanting to do this for a couple of years now, and I finally decided to do it!!! For this event I will be showing my students how to create this vintage inspired journal made from lace, buttons, pearls, paper flowers and a sweet vintage image.

The book is perfect for journaling, keeping important notes, writing random thoughts or keeping track of those great post ideas!!! It gets finished beautifully on both front, back and even the insides.

Not only will there be 2 days of friendships and crafting there will be one fabulous day of shopping provided by Petticoats on the Prairie!
Please go on over to the Paper Cowgirl blog and check out the event. If you are in the area I would love to meet you!!!  I will be in the company of some amazing teachers including:

Cindy Mayfield - Yapping Cat
Dawn Edmonson - The Feathered Nest
Karla Nathan - Karla's Cottage
Lisa McIlvain - Tarnished and Tattered
Sandra Feazel  - 7th St. Studio
Beth Leintz - Gathering Dust
Donna Goss - Art Studio 522

******************************************
And now for some more exciting news!!!

My blog is being featured in one of Cindy Adkins great kindle books available on Amazon!!  Just like myself, Cindy loves to share what she has learned about Blogging with other women who may not have yet experienced all the fun that having a blog can bring to their lives. Cindy has written several of these great little Kindle books and this one features several  bloggers who share their knowledge and stories with it's readers.
It was really fun to see my name and  blogs listed in the description on Amazon!!
(I know, I'm easily amused... :)

The other gals included in the book are Sonia Crouse, of Creating Vintage Charm magazine, Pat Winter, of Pat Winter Gatherings and Crazy Quilt Gatherings magazine
Liz Perry from The Brambleberry Cottage, Soraya Julian from Homemaker on a Dime,
Debbie Manno from Debbiedoos, and Debra Germain and Nicole Germain-Perez from Capers of the Vintage Vixens.

I hope you will all go check out these great blogs and say hi!

Karen,

As I was reading this post I was thinking back to when you found yourself without a job wondering what in the world you were going to do. Little did you know what a wonderful path lay ahead of you by the removal of something vital. It has been such a joy, a pleasure, and an encouragement to watch your journey and see how your life has changed and how much joy you have and with what generosity you share. You inspire me!

Congrats on teaching at Paper Cowgirls! Your journal is amazing!!! So beautiful!

Cindy & I were talking today (while we were working on our project for the Swaps for Tiffany's) & we were just wondering what all we will get into for those fun days. Where all we should go & what all we'll see & buy. Hee Hee! I'm so glad you're coming out & I KNOW we'll have a blast. HUGS!
